Hubbard County Historical Museum

The building the museum is housed in was the original Hubbard County Courthouse built in the year 1900.The interior of the museum retains the original tin ceilings, eight vaults, and 14-karat gold lettering on the office doors. Each room depicts a different aspect of early life in the area.  We encourage you to take a step back in time and enjoy learning about the history of our community.

The museum is host to hundreds of visitors each year, which is remarkable considering the size of our community and that we are only open from May to October. We provide a cultural and educational center, and a historic setting in which to preserve our rich heritage. The museum does not charge admission; donations are our main source of income. Membership in the Hubbard County Historical Society helps the museum maintain the artifacts, provides money for utilities and building maintenance. It also helps us in our efforts to maintain this website and a presence on social media. You can help by becoming a member for only $10 a year, benifits include periodic newsletters, a free place to bring family and friends on rainy days and a warm feeling in your heart knowing that you are part of safe keeping the past for future generations.
